Especialista de Produção / Fabricação - Cosméticos

Our client, a Japanese multinational company, is looking for a Production Specialist to lead, develop and ensure quality in manufacturing their successful cosmetic products in third-party factories in Brazil.

His/Her key responsibilities include:

1. Contacting, negotiating, and making necessary alignments with 3rd party manufacturers, suppliers of raw materials and packaging, and other related service providers to ensure the quality of the products manufactured in the factories.
2. Coordinating the collaborative work of involved parties, such as 3rd party manufacturers, suppliers of raw materials and packaging, other related service providers, functional teams in the company's affiliates, and co-workers.
3. Delivering the products on time following the demand plan created by the sales team in the company; being responsible for making feasible plans and alignments with 3rd party manufacturers and suppliers to ensure the delivery of the products on time.
4. Being the local counterpart of the company's various functional teams (such as R&D, Supply Chain Management, and Quality Assurance, etc.); supporting them in understanding the local requirements, necessary investments, inevitable modifications from global formulation/products specifications, and any other issues the team may confront in local production.
5. Contributing to reducing local production costs; actively searching for alternatives in the related services in the cosmetic industry.
6. Foreseeing the risks and participating in contingency planning to ensure that issues are flagged, managed, and/or communicated so that Production Manager supports the decision-making in the company's management for the continuation of the local production to support the business.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in Chemistry and/or Project Management.
• Full proficiency in English.
• More than 04 years of experience in manufacturing cosmetic products with 3rd party manufacturers.
• More than 02 years of experience in developing cosmetic products, including the packaging.
• Good knowledge and experience in the production of cosmetic products 3rd party manufacturers.
• General knowledge of packaging for cosmetic products, in terms of the packaging technology, the materials, the color calibration, and the compatibility with various formulations.
• General knowledge of cosmetic formulations and raw materials and of the suppliers and service providers related to the production of cosmetic products.
• General knowledge of cosmetic regulations.
